Join Us for the Annual Temecula Valley Balloon and Wine Festival

Colorful hot air balloonsYou already knew Temecula was a great place to live and work – and it’s also a great place to play! Every year since 1983, the town has hosted the Temecula Valley Balloon and Wine Festival. What began as a small celebration eventually “ballooned” into the grand festival we enjoy today, one that both residents and visitors excitedly anticipate each June.

Originally, the festival primarily featured dozens of hot air balloons which could be viewed floating above our serene pastures and vineyards during the weekend-long event. But festival organizers quickly realized they had something special on their hands, and decided to feature more area attractions during the weekend festivities. First a wine tasting was added to the schedule, featuring wines from local vineyards, and a few years later musicians and local vendors joined in the fun. The result is the celebration of life we now enjoy each spring in the Temecula Valley.

Join us this May on the festival grounds at Lake Skinner, and witness the magic for yourself! This year’s festival will feature two stages, rotating performances by acts such as Phil Vassar, Neon Trees, Jimmy Eat World, and Rodney Atkins. Local and regional wineries will offer tastings, and many area breweries have joined the fun to add beer to the menu. Speaking of menus, you will also enjoy culinary offerings from our outstanding local restaurants. The Temecula Valley Balloon and Wine Festival features Southern California’s best food, wine, beer, shopping, and entertainment – all in one stunning location.

This year, the festival will be held on May 20-22, and tickets are on sale now via www.tvbwf.com . Don’t forget to make your hotel reservation now, before rooms fill up, or reserve a campsite on festival grounds. The festival offers something for everyone, from outdoors enthusiasts to music fans to wine lovers, so it’s sure to please the whole family.
